About Vocal Advice©

Sure, books are a terrific start and practice tapes are great to work with – for a while.  But . . .

What do you need, personally, for your voice?

Vocal Visions offers you a chance to ask your questions, describe what is happening when you sing or speak, and get some professional feedback on what may be going on and how to work with it.

Just send in the Order Form and payment with your questions written on the back or on a separate sheet and Linda Combellick, founder and President of Vocal Visions, will answer them according to her understanding of your situation.  Choose whether you wish to receive your answers via email or regular mail and be sure to include postage if necessary.  You can also choose to submit your questions via email and send your payment separately through regular mail.  Your questions will be answered promptly as soon as payment is received.

Please note that there is no substitute for live instruction.  The teacher can only make an educated guess as to what may be affecting you based on your description.  The instruction offered is based on that guess.  All advice is given in good faith in as clear a manner as possible.  However, Vocal Visions, Inc. assumes no responsibility for misunderstandings that may occur on either end through communication that is removed from an actual lesson scenario.  Your request for answers implies that you have read this notice and agree to hold Vocal Visions, Inc., and the individual instructors offering their assistance, harmless should such misunderstanding occur, including that of misinterpreting the advice given and incorrect application of the techniques described.

Not sure what to ask?  Here are a few possibilities to get you started.

EXAMPLES

  • My throat is sore and my voice is raspy after I sing or do a presentation.

What is happening?

  • I’ve heard that lemons are good for the voice before or during a performance.  Is that true?

  • How can I get over my stage fright?

  • My voice is kind of small and quiet.  How can I get more volume?

  • I’ve heard you should breathe from your stomach.  Is there more to know about this?
